If you have a few hours a month, you can make a big difference in the lives of the animals at our Rescue. We need volunteers who can help with any of the following:
Regular weekday morning or evening feeding and cage cleaning - This would be an ongoing regular commitment of time, from once a month to once a week - whatever you have time for.
Saturday morning or afternoon - a great opportunity to come out for a few hours every now and again to lend a hand to the adoption and store volunteers who are busy with adopters and customers when the Rescue is open to the public. Involves feeding, washing bowls and water bottles, etc.
Weed trimming and beautifying the flower beds - our flower beds need attention throughout the year, but our daily volunteers are so focused on caring for the animals that it's hard to find time to keep the outside of our building looking nice.
Special projects - we occasionally have special projects like cleaning out the warehouse that require extra hands and muscle.
We welcome families, children 12 years of age and older, and teens needing to complete Community Service hours for Honor Society, Boy Scouts, etc. All volunteers under the age of 18 must have parental consent and bring a signed Minor Consent Waiver the first time they volunteer.
If you are interested in volunteering on a Saturday, please come on by between 9am and 4pm any Saturday. (We are no longer requiring sign-ups.) If you would like to become a weekday volunteer, please email us.
